Adam HEBDITCH

Principal Cornet

Adam holds a first-class honours degree and a Master of Music (Distinction) from Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Awarded the Musicians’ Company Silver Medal in 2022 for the most distinguished student at Trinity Laban, he specialises in contemporary trumpet repertoire and attended the Chosen Vale International Trumpet Seminar in 2021. As a member of Big Smoke Brass – UK, winners of the Trinity Laban Philip Jones Brass prize, Adam has played at prestigious venues and featured in live broadcasts on BBC Radio 3, Capital FM, Philip Jones Brass Spectacular and Boardmasters Festival. 


He also held a ‘Dev’ seat with the London Musical Theatre Orchestra and performs with numerous provincial musical theatre ensembles. Inspired by trumpet teachers and meeting fellow players in community bands and orchestras, he joined multi award winning Youth Brass 2000 and Foresters Brass eventually becoming Principal cornet. He helped the band win all four major UK youth brass band titles in 2016 and the European Youth Brass Band championships in 2018 held at the TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht. 


Adam joined Redbridge Brass in 2017 and became Principal Cornet in 2022. Adam has a two favourite memories with the band, the first is performing Howard Snell’s ‘Gallery’ at the national brass band championship finals in 2017 and the other is his first time as Principal Cornet at the championship finals in 2022.
