The story captures a magical night for a boy and his snowman friend in the Oscar-nominated 1982 movie. A great way to kick-off the festive season. Suitable for all ages, not just the kids!

"Alice in WonderBand" takes the audience on a whimsical journey through the curious world of brass bands through the lens of the classic children’s story. Where the Queen of Hearts wields the baton, the Mad Hatter keeps time on percussion and a smoky-toned caterpillar slides around on trombone. Even the cornet section has turned into a deck of marching playing cards! As Alice tries to make sense of this musical madness she’s left wondering… is this a dream or just another day at band rehearsal?
As a warm up, the band will perform a selection of tunes based on famous books and stories. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Matilda, Batman, Harry Potter to name but a few. And no story based concert would be complete without Rimsky-Korsakov's epic Scheherazade which paints vivid musical pictures of The Arabian Nights.
This is a concert for the whole family to enjoy!

British Open - Spring Festival:

After achieving promotion from the Senior Trophy last year we return to the Grand Shield to perform Bert Appermont's A Brussels Requiem
L&SC Regional Contest

The band are very pleased with the result at the L&SC Regional Contest - 3rd place Unfortunately not enough for a return to the Albert Hall this time though.
